Good evening my people!

Standing under existing protocols, I must thank all my ogas for making this platform worthwhile. Mr. Asuni Adeshola, whose brain child is TEA deserve some accolades. Thumbs up sir!
You, you and you reading this piece of mine deserves a good round of applause.
Tonight seminar topic is highly thought provoking.
WHY ARE MOST UNIVERSITY GRADUATE POOR?
Why are some people poor even after having many degrees?
I thought that they often say, ‘the ends (tangible wealth) should justify the means (certificates)’. .
But why. .is my case different? Many will ask.
The reasons are made obvious here in this seminar. I am going to share with you 9 reasons why so many educated people are poor.
Reason number 5 is the most important so try and follow me bumper to bumper to the end.
1. Financial education wasn’t given in school.
Wait a moment and think about it, each time we mentioned education the first thing that most people think about is school, and whenever we think about school, we assume school should teach children everything necessary about life, the opposite is the truth.
Take for instance you can be a medical doctor and really know a whole lot of things, or medicine, or be a lawyer and know everything about the law profession, unfortunately that doesn’t mean you know everything about money.
In fact you can be an accountant who presses calculator to calculate millions of dollars, again that doesn’t mean you know everything about money.
The reasons why most professional don’t know much about money is because school wasn’t design to educate them about money.
It doesn’t matter how long or how many years or how many degrees you got in your formal educational system, you will know nothing about money and because you know nothing about money you will be broke even with 5 degrees.
What then is the way out?
Hmmmnn!
Start reading good financial books or listening to good audio training about money.
2. Most people immediately becomes uneducated after college
What exactly do you think education is?
For so many people in this world education is that degree they go and get at the University.
For so many others, education is their certificates and their degrees.
Hmmmnn! Is this education?
No! Education is not what you get in the classroom, education is what you get everyday of your life.
The truly educated man is that man who learn everyday from everything around him.
Education is like food. It is as necessary as water. It is readily available in our world like air.
We wake up everyday to take oxygen, to eat and to drink. Then we should get education every day.
This is not the case for so many people. Immediately they got their first degree they don’t learn anything meaningful anymore, as they believe they are already educated.
Because this people don’t take time to learn new things, they are not likely to come across knowledge necessary for them to create wealth.
What is the way out?
Start seeing education as you see water, water isn’t what you drink once in your life time, but what you drink everyday of your life.
3. The more time you spent at school the more time you are likely to love job
School was designed to train people on how to become an employee.
The more the time you spent in University, the more you are likely to love Jobs.
Jobs don’t give you leverage to create wealth. Its ‘just over broke’.
The more you love Jobs the more you are likely to be poor.
In a simple mathematical calculation, loving jobs simply means you are going to work for the rest of your life with a single brain and two hands.
Nobody in this world create wealth that way. Truly wealthy people are people who could work with 10, 20 to 50 brain or more and unfortunately no job allows you to do that, so because you can’t work with hundred hands or work with 50 brains you don’t have the leverage that other entrepreneur have in creating wealth.
What is the way out?
Why everyone can not be an enterprenuer, everyone can get financial education, learn and master the act of investing. Even if you are an employee’ you can learn about money and investment, invest properly and be financially independent.
4. So many people who believe they are educated are actually arrogant
School education puffs people up like an undone bean cake. Degrees makes people arrogant and resistant to new thoughts. Unless you deliberately work on yourself, you will be like the educated illiterate who arrogantly think he knows everything that is to know.
Many Graduates believe those other guys who drop out of colleges and didn’t finish school doesn’t know anything, in this case they are not humble enough to listen or learn, what most arrogant people don’t know is that young people no matter the formal level of their education, they are the ones who knows where the world is going to.
The few young people who really knows what they are doing, know so much about so many things that older generation don’t know.
Look at the internet for instance, so many people who are 50 years old don’t really understand how the internet works or how they can use it to create wealth why on the other hand an average 17 years old guy knows so many things about the Internet and many of them are building wealth, right from their home using the power of internet.
What is the way out?
Don’t be unnecessarily arrogant because you have degrees, many Yong people who never go to college, are building unbelievable wealth using modern technology and the internet, be humble and learn from the next generation.
5. Many high paid Educated people buy a lot of liabilities
You see it every where, a guy who earn one million naira a year think he’s rich, he shops the most expensive smart phones, the latest car, the biggest tv set, the most expensive shirts and shoes, wrist watches and vacations.
The amount you earn doesn’t matter much as the amount invest into your future.
What is the way out?
Buy assets, not liabilities. Invest in your future!!
6. Many highly educated people do lose their jobs
In today’s economy it doesn’t matter how highly educated you are, it doesn’t matter how much degrees you have, anything can happen anytime.
Covid 19 has caused a lot of disruption in the system. People’s cheese in terms of jobs has been moved. What is real today in our post Covid 19 world is job loss.
Now this is not to say people don’t lose their business, every now and then people lose their businesses too, but when you compare the possibility of losing your business to the possibility of losing a job then, you are going to see the difference.
An employee job depends on the decisions of another man, why an entrepreneur is in control of his job, why unexpected disaster could cause an entrepreneur to lose his business, most times because these guys created their businesses from the scratch they know how to start all over again.
Why the other guy who have a job has only the option of going out there and look for another job, which in this case he may not get a job as good as the one he invested his last decade on.
What is the way out?
Create your own business.
7. Most graduates lack creativity
College teaches more of logical thinking than lateral thinking. Logic encourages a pattern of looking at the world. But lateral thinking gives no path in your thought line. Its simply weird.
Creativity does the seemingly absurd to birth something new. It makes something old new for the world to treasure.
Creativity may not follow any pattern of thought. Ideas can come from the unimaginable or the unthinkable. But wealth will result at the end of it all.
Logic shut up graduates from been enriched from the universal bowl of creativity for wealth creation.
What is the way out?
Create your own thought, create your own wealth. Creativity is yours to use.
8. The more time you spent in the classroom, the more time you are likely to live your life alone
This is what I mean by that, so many people who are able to built wealth in this world are people who have master how to collaborate, how to build a team, how to work with other people, how to get people of different skills and strength together to achieve a single goal.
Unfortunately school was designed to teach you direct opposite of that, in school for instance you are trained to do your assignment alone, to do your test alone and to do everything all alone.
While in the real world you need collaboration, you need to put people together, you need to get people together to work on a certain goal for you to build wealth.
What is the way out?
Work hard, work smart, but above all Net work!
9. Taxes are made for them
In August 2011 Warren Buffet wrote an opinion peace in the new york times, in which he wrote about 2010 federal tax rates of 17.4% compare to 36.0% average rate paid by the other workers in his office, how come the poor pay less tax than the rich.
Tax law everywhere in the world was made for the employee, so the more money the high educated people make the more government dupe them.
In conclusion, I will say that from this moment on, put on your thinking cap and get all the information you need, start applying them.
This is what is called’ Sensitificate’ its far better than a mere Certificate which you boast of a a Graduate.
See you at the top!
