Secret keys to BILLIONS
The year 2020 is far spent and things still seem confusing to some of us.
Some are yet to achieve what the year holds for them and their new year resolution …
The best gift I can give is how to make us all achieve our personal Vision 2020 since the government is presently battling with the CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 PANDEMIC which came to stare us in the face in the twitlight or early part of the year 2020….
The questions tend to come to fore in our minds and in our thoughts. “How do I maximize opportunities?” and
“How do I I make the most out of situations?”
Every question has an answer and the answer is what will open the doors in the remainder of this 2020.
Kindly journey with me as I share some nuggets to explore opportunities in the remainder of this year 2020.
1. BE OPEN TO LEARNING.
In this 2020, don’t be a know-it-all, don’t carry the mentality of “I am a polygon of knowledge”. I am familiar with this so what else is he going to teach me?”.
Surely no one knows everything
People have different experiences and as such no office has the same mode of operation.
You add more knowledge to what you have when you decide to learn more.
It doesn’t matter how small or insignificant you make of the opportunities be open to learning.
Just explore the opportunity to learn something new or a new way to do what you knew.
2. STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE.
Comfort zone only brings comfort as there are no risk. Where there is no risk, you can’t try something new.
You go have to leave that cozy environment so you can see the opportunities that abound in other places, learn and also model in your environment.
Your comfort zone can flatter to deceive.
Trying out other things can eventually give you more comfort.
3. Engage and value “human resources”.
The people around you matter a lot irrespective of their societal status.
The gateman can be the one that will tell you when that office Chief Executive Officer is around,
the Secretary is probably the best person that will teach about how to maximize the office hours,
your junior colleague can be the one that will tell you the secret to handling that difficult employer.
You have to value people and keep them close to explore opportunities.
Always remember the saying, that your network determines your net worth.
4. Understand the PROCESS .
When we are faced with something new, we usually pay more attention to the end result and do not care about the process. The process is just as important as the result.
Example: I need to secure a job for next month, my focus on the job is to learn and earn, this is just 40 percent of the whole matter.
How do I get invited for an interview?
Do I have a CV?
Which location do I desire?
I have to do all that before I set out.
The process is very important to explore opportunities because that is where the growth happens.
Understanding the process completely is key in everything we venture into.
5. KNOW THE END RESULT.
If you don’t know what you will gain after all the above has been done, you have wasted your time
You have to ask yourself some pertinent questions like “Will I make an impact?, Am I going to be paid for this?,
Will I help someone?”,
It is When you see this at the “finish line”, you’ll be encouraged to put in the work.
So, have the expected end result in mind when you’re starting anything.
It makes evaluation easy.
Haven said all these,
You have to understand that not every opportunity is for you, it is not every situation that is for you.
You have to be smart, discerning and ask yourself a lot of questions before you say yes to what comes your way?.
You have to ask some pertinent question before you focus on a particular opportunity…
Questions such as:
- How will this aid my current skill?.
- Will I learn something new?
- . What are the risks involved?
- Is this a distraction??
- Is this personal or for my career?
- Why am I here? What’s the purpose of this?
The answers to these questions will be helpful in the journey of exploring opportunities.
