Introduction
POS Business otherwise know as agency banking, Cash deposit and Withdrawal points, Mobile Money agents etc is an independent extension of banks. The individual or businesses are give the opportunity to carry out banking services like Cash Deposit, cash withdrawals, Bill payments, Sales of airtime and Data.
For you to start you need to be registered by a bank or one of those financial services institutions. This will give you the authorisation to be extending the services you will be offering.
Banks that are more recommend are the ones that are very popular like First bank, Gt Bank, Access Bank etc, and also Financial services institutions like paga, quickteller and most recent opay are also very good.
I am assuring you that you can make over N250,000 monthly on POS business. People have started patronizing POS business center due to unable to dispense and long queue in ATM points. You can start your own POS business center and make cool money on daily basis with just N50,000…
Now that you know this opportunity what are the steps you need to take to start making this money
We have step 1-5
- Get a POS from any Nigeria banks or anything online mobile Money platform like quickteller, Opay, NowNow etc. Note you will be required to fill the agent application form just like you use to do for your personal accounts.
- Find a good location for your business like a market, school environment, or close to ATM point. POS business best works in busy areas and the interesting thing here is people use to opt for POS services instead of wasting their time on ATM que, so this is to your advantage you can do it anywhere with or without bank.
- On any amount you withdraw on POS. Bank will charge you 0.5% of the amount. You now charge the customer appropriate amount that you will get profit you will see the charging plan when we move further.
- You also charge your Customers on Cash Deposit, while people come in for Cash deposit and withdrawal you don’t have a problem because money keeps flowing. Usually I will advise you to use Opay, palmpay, and some little that charge only ₦10 on Cash deposit. You can charge from 100-1000 on Cash deposit, so all the money goes to your purse.
- You will collect N100, N200 or N300 as charges from customer depend on the amount the customer withdraw.
Let assume you are able to perform 30 transaction of N100 charges per day. N100*30=N3000
N3000 daily for 30days. N3000*30=N90,000.
You perform 30 transactions of N200 charges per day. N200*30=N6000
N6000 daily for 30days. N6000*30=N180,000
That is N90,000+N180,000=N270,000 monthly
POS business is very practical and lucrative, pls don’t waste this opportunity….
And lastly here are some tips for success in the POS business
- keep records of all your transactions, they might be required in case of faulty transactions….
-use banner, bill boards and posters to attract customers to your location…
-Collect customers phone number in record, so you can be able to reach them incase need arises…
